JobFill Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-05

What JobFill stores

JobFill stores two kinds of data, both in your browser’s local Chrome storage:

  1. Your profile — name, email, phone, location, LinkedIn/GitHub/portfolio URLs, and an optional cover letter template. You provide this via the extension’s Options page.
  2. Your tracked job applications — job title, company, URL, and the kanban stage (Saved / Applied / Interview / Offer / Rejected). This is created when you click Fill on a supported job posting, or when you add it manually.

Where the data lives

All data is stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local. It does not leave your device. JobFill does not run a server. It does not sync to the cloud. JobFill does not transmit your data to any third party, including us.

What JobFill does NOT do

Permissions explained

The extension does not request <all_urls> and does not run on any other website.

Your control

You can clear all JobFill data at any time by going to chrome://extensions, finding JobFill, and clicking “Remove”. You can also edit your profile or delete any tracked application directly in the extension’s UI.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated in the extension’s release notes on the Chrome Web Store.
